One Room Challenge Deck Source Post
Good morning guys! I hope you had a lovely weekend!
We did some well needed relaxing after our blogger fiesta on the deck on Friday! Here are a few pics :)
So, are you guys tired of seeing my One Room Challenge posts yet? I can understand if you are but hang in there! After this one there is only one left…the marquee anchor grand finale :)
I’m sharing the sources for our deck because I’ve had lots of comments from those of you who are in the middle of working on your outdoor spaces and I thought this would help you find anything you are looking for or wondering about!
CONVERSATION AREA
HOMEGOODS: galvanized serving tray, anchor magnifying glass, starfish citronella candle, metal garden stool
TARGET: navy/white chevron pillows and pouf, rug, small urchin bowl, small stripped bowl, fish platter, glass pitcher, string lights for canopy and the marquee anchor
HOME DEPOT: two seahorse pillows, one turquoise pillow, tiki torches and the gorgeous ferns that are doing very well might I add!
IKEA: navy/white striped pillows, white planters for the ferns
MISC.: you won’t believe it but the striped table runner is a long pillow cover that I found at Goodwill, The Nester’s new book that you can read about here, the chiminea is from Market Imports at The State Farmers Market in Raleigh, NC and I painted it white which you can read about here.
The couch, oversized chair and ottoman I was able to purchase from a friend.
BEVERAGE STATION
HOMEGOODS: vintage inspired cooler
TARGET: 4 pk napkin set, tissue paper for the DIY tassels
MISC.: I bought the metal anchor from Black Lion last year with the hopes of turning it into the marquee light {tutorial coming soon}
GARDEN AREA
HOMEGOODS: coral urchin dish with lid
LOWES HOME IMPROVEMENT: herbs
MISC.: my grandmother’s pitcher, DIY stump table from a fallen tree in our neighborhood you can read about here, DIY paint cans as planters you can read about here
And this is Sunny the official “deck dog”!
THE DECK
The gray, semi-solid stain is Beechwood gray by Cabot and I found it at our local Blackhawk Hardware. The white solid stain is Olympic brand from Lowes Home Improvement color matched to our existing exterior trim paint.
You know I had to include an updated punch list because it’s so rare that I actually finish an entire space and cross off everything on the list…actually that’s NEVER happened!!! So thanks again to Linda at Calling It Home for hosting this awesome challenge and link party! I can’t wait to join again in the fall!
Here is the updated punch list:
1. Stain and pressure wash the deck.
2. Paint the awning and door trim.
3. Sell current table and chairs on craigslist and hunt for an awesome deal on furniture.
4. Buy Tiki torches and mount them: from Home Depot.
5. Paint the chiminea and base.
6. Find/build two side tables: using nautical spool side table and a DIY stump table
7. Find and hang arts and crafts style light fixture. {decided against this}
8. Purchase rug, outdoor pouf and pillows: Target.
9. Figure out grill placement.
10. Build or hunt for a vintage cooler/and or bar cart. {found a vintage inspired cooler at HomeGoods}
11. DIY upcycled marquee anchor.
12. Hang string lights: from Target.
13. Find pots/planters and decide on and buy plants.
14. Shop our home and thrift stores for styling accessories.
15. Throw a PARTAY!!! {TWO SO FAR AND MANY MORE TO GO}
***anything I didn’t list are items we’ve had in our home and I no longer remember where they are from***
