Do you remember the old skinny brushed nickel floor lamps with plain white shades? Well, they’ve come along way since then and I’m in the market! Personally I’ve never liked floor lamps but there is a perfect spot for one in our living room that would really help our lighting situation. From traditional lamps with a brass twist to funky tripod styles, there are so many options to choose from now that can make a real impact in your space.

I’m looking for something a little more substantial in my space but this brass lamp is a timeless beauty.

This brass ring lamp from Pottery Barn is a stunner and I love it paired with the black cowhide shade.

West Elm killed it with this one and I can picture it perfectly in a cool LA pad or swank Manhattan apartment…or my house, right?!?!

I am leaning more towards one with an adjustable arm that swings or tilts to fit in the corner of our living room next to the new sofa. I love the brass and black combo on this one.
