2016 In Review: Top 10 Favorite Posts + Projects
Happy New Year friends!!! I hope your Christmas and New Year was really amazing! I love the fresh start of a new year and I’m knee deep in planning and organizing mode! I’ll be sharing some of my plans for 2017 in my Thursday post but for now I wanted to revisit a few of our 2016 highlights! 2016 was a decent year but I would be lying if said I wasn’t ready to see what 2017 has in store!
So here are our top 10 posts and projects from 2016…
1. Our Home Tour on Glitter Guide
This was a real ‘pinch me’ moment this year and it’s still a little hard to believe.

2. Lowe’s Spring Makeover: A Washington, DC Posh Patio
It was such a privilege to work on this project with Lowe’s and the sweet Glenn family! It was a great project all around and I think Sarah and Kyle were thrilled!

3. Favorite Outfit: Return of the Overalls
This was one of my most favorite outfit posts and photo shoots! Paige Winn Photo and I were able to get a little creative at the snow cone shop and she did an amazing job with the photos!

4. Home of the Month Feature: My Coastal Dream House
I love every Home of the Month feature we share but it was a special treat to share this coastal home by Blackband Design that was love at first sight for me!

5. Mantel Makeover with Angie’s List
This was one of the first projects I have designed from start to finish for a client and to this day it’s one of my favorite!
6. Favorite Roadtrip Reality: Mt. Pleasant + Sullivan’s Island, SC
Visiting Charleston, SC is always a treat but I really enjoyed digging into the best places to eat, shop and of course get coffee in Mt. Pleasant.
7. Favorite Recipe: Citrus Honey Vinaigrette
This was a toss up between this recipe, our shrimp tacos and the Diet Coke cake but I guess since it’s the new year and all I’ve got salads on the brain! You can find all of our 2016 recipes HERE.

8. Favorite DIY: Faux Boxwood Wall
This DIY is one of the most talked about projects in our home and it was so fun to push the envelope. It’s come in handy on many different occasions!

9. Favorite Room Makeover: ORC Laundry Room Reveal
It’s a bummer that the angles in space are too tight to get good pictures but this might be one of the most fun rooms in our home now!

I had the honor of partnering with Diet Coke over the last few months where we have thrown two parties, hosted a holiday gathering, styled an impromptu bar cart and given away a holiday party to several lucky winners! What an incredible experience that I am so grateful for!
BONUS FAVORITE: The newest members of the Hogan family were definitely a highlight of 2016! If you asked me last year if I thought I would be a two-time cat owner I would have called you crazy. But life happens and we’re so glad it did!
