Christmas Home Tour Update and Celebration!
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day!
I promised you an updated home tour because we made a few kid friendly changes. This post is also a bit selfish because I want to remember how we decorated and some special moments from our Christmas. I hope you enjoy the pics!
The changes we made mostly happened because our tree had been on our porch for the last few weeks if you saw the original home tour post and we finally brought it in.
Little man was so excited to finally put all of our other ornaments on the tree and I let him decorate it all by himself. We only helped him with the ones that needed to go up high but he told us exactly where he wanted them :)
Shhh…please ignore the big pile of laundry on the couch.
I think he did an amazing job and I love bringing out the homemade ornaments!
We still have an organic, coastal feel but our stockings are red and little man wanted to add some “fun” decorations :)
To make room for the stockings we had to move the pom pom garland off the mantel and I love our very FULL Christmas card holder!
The old stocking hangers got a new makeover.
I swapped out the giant gold ornaments with some red and gold ones. These are from the same stash I had from an after Christmas Walmart sale a year or two ago.
Prepping for hosting Christmas eve dinner.
Our smorgasbord of a dinner is served. We went way overboard and had everything from shrimp and grits to beanie weenies!
One of our deserts, peppermint martinis. Some thought they tasted like cough syrup but I enjoyed them. I am a the peppermintaholic of the family though!
More deserts.
Little man snapped this of me during clean up session.
Cookies and milk for Santa…and a reminder list.
Goodnight.
Goodmorning. This was the first sighting.
This present stuff is serious business!
The goods.
A few of my awesome gifts!
Stocking stuffer fun!
Pooped and spoiled pups.
Relaxing after the excitement.
I also have to share a picture of my parents gorgeous mantel. I love seeing our childhood stockings hanging.
So that’s it. Our family is so very blessed and I thank God for them everyday.
And here is a picture of the first Christmas I spent with my beautiful baby boy!
He is my earthly proof that miracles do happen and dreams can come true.
God bless you friends during this season. I will be taking a few days off but will be ringing in the New Year with you shortly!
