DIY JuJu Hat Inspired Art
Good morning friends! I’m so excited to share with you the DIY JuJu hat inspired artwork that I created for eHow.com! I think JuJu hats are beautiful and I love the story behind them but they can be pricey! I was reading Decor8, one of my favorite blogs, and came across this feather art and it immediately made me think of a JuJu hat and then it clicked. The feather collage art and a JuJu hat got married, had a baby and out came my feather artwork :)
This really is an easy project that leaves a big impact in a space. Click over to eHow.com to read the full tutorial and try one of your own!
But of course if you love these as much as I do can still buy the real thing! :)

Have a great rest of your week!
Cheers!

This is so beautiful and perfect for a bedroom wall.
Thank you Debra!
Where did you find the feathers? At first I got some from the dollar store but they looked terrible after I spray painted them. Then I went to Micheal’s and the only ones I could find there that looked similar to yours were brown and they did not take the paint that well. So still looking for the white feathers.
Hi Ann! So sorry you’re having trouble! I bought the feathers off of ebay. I think they actually came from China but they shipped fast and were pretty inexpensive. I bought a pack of 100 if I remember correctly. Hope that helps!
This is perfection! Had something like this in mind for a while. I love how you framed it. Going to tackle a yellow version for my baby’s pineapple nursery!
Aww thank you so much Sara! Please tag me on instagram if you share it :) xoxo!
This has been beautifully done. I like how you have it in a shadow box to protect it from little fingers. Great tutorial.
Thanks so much Jessica!
Oh my gosh, you just inspired me to create some fabulous art for my daughter’s wedding reception next summer. Her theme is peacock feathers! So glad I saw your link at the Work It Wednesday party!
Yau! That makes me so happy Marie! You definitely should and it sounds beautiful!
