How To Build A Fall Capsule Wardrobe From Old Navy

Happy Thursday friends!!!

First off let me start by saying this post is NOT sponsored in any way, shape or form by Old Navy. And honestly I’m not always a big Old Navy shopper. Don’t get me wrong, ON is always great for some things like kids clothes, accessories and affordable layering pieces but more often then not it is hit or miss as far as quality and what actually fits.

As a matter of fact, other than bathing suits, I was not at all impressed with their summer selection this year. AND, I can never ever find pants that fit me but something changed this fall and I was able to find so many things that fit and in my opinion are better quality than normal so I had to share it with you!

Now…do I wish I could afford to shop at all responsibly sourced retailers and eliminate the big box stores…of course. And do I try to invest in classic pieces that won’t go out of style…Yes! But, let’s be real, while that is my ultimate goal I’m still a single mom with two part-time jobs and that’s just not in the cards for me yet. So we do what we have to do in hopes that our thrifty-ness now will allow us more flexibility down the road. Am I right?!?!

So let’s get to it!

Before we get started, I wanted to let you know that you can click on any of the pictures below for more info!

First off, these are my new favorite jeans and you could actually pair them with any top on this board so I’m going to build a few outfits here for you. I love this striped peplum top and I have it in a small. I think the green stripe is a nice change from black or navy!

Here is another casual outfit with my favorite jeans and I wear a size 4. This long sleeve white tee is a great layering piece and I love the curved hem.

This outfit is a bit more dressy but very classic in style. I love this crossbody bag in the wine color but I love the olive green color just as much! Which is your favorite?

I included two black dresses here because I was undecided on which was my favorite but both styles are casual and pretty.

This pencil skirt is a must have and I prefer to dress it down with a slouchy shirt or sweater and ankle booties or converse sneakers. I tried it on in the store yesterday and a medium fit well. It is on it’s way to me now :)

A plaid flannel is an essential fall wardrobe staple and I love the green and navy of this one. It works well with so many other pieces. I have this open front cardigan in gray and I love it! I wear a size medium in this one.

And finally here are a few miscellaneous pieces that I also think are important to have. As to not be completely neutral I chose this floral tunic. It’s long enough that it would look great over black leggings and knee boots.

I own these joggers in a medium and they are SO great! I wear them around the house almost every day and will be wearing them over my workout clothes to the gym once it’s cold enough.

This is my current favorite gym shirt! It has an open back, fits really nicely and comes in four colors. I have it in gray and will be ordering it black soon. I wear a small in this.

And lastly, this luxe tank is on of my favorite layering pieces and SO comfy!

So, what do you guys think? I think 21 pieces for a fall wardrobe is pretty doable, right?! You may need a pair of black booties thrown in a few other things but I think this is a pretty good start and I hope it helps you with putting some outfits together!

Oh and I know I owe you a post about my personal fall capsule but I’m still working on a few outfits so I appreciate you being patient!

Cheers!
