How To Choose The Best Bedroom Bench

As you probably know I’m wrapping up my master bedroom update and I’m really trying to focus on the elements that look nice and make the room feel finished but are also functional. A bedroom bench can add storage, a place to sit and take off your shoes, or even just another design element in the room that gives your space a finished look. They can really have a huge impact in a room! I’m breaking down how to choose the best bedroom bench that fits your style very simply!

Here are some of my favorite benches that will hopefully help you narrow down the style you love and the needed function in your space!
Bedroom Bench Styles
1. STORAGE
The great thing is you can have both style and function in a bedroom storage bench! This saturated blue tufted bench is so pretty and can hold blankets and pillows (You know the throw pillows you take off the bed at night that you formally made that morning, right? Winning!). This is a versatile piece that would be great in almost any space.
2. SKIRTED
This traditional option is perfect for a more formal style room and you could throw a few storage baskets underneath! The color and lines are beautiful and classic.
3. X BENCHES (2x)
I love all x benches and using two of these at the foot of your bed really gives a room some character. This is a really chic look for a modern/glam space.
4. MID CENTURY MODERN
I love that mid century modern has branched out into every furniture option now including benches. I love the gray and wood two toned look of this one and it’s perfect for adding a touch of mid mod without going over the top!
5. NATURAL (RATTAN)
My coastal loving heart will always beat for anything rattan and this natural bench works great in a cozy cottage or beach house!
6. LEATHER (OR FAUX LEATHER)
This might be my overall favorite! I love the faux leather look with the gold and hairpin legs on this bench. This is perfect for someone who loves an eclectic or boho style
7. POP OF COLOR
You can never go wrong with a pop of color and a great way to add this is with a colorful bench in an overall neutrally decorated room. Patterns are also great to use for this option! Floral, geometric or stripes are great choices too so you can pick the look that fits your style.
8. FAUX FUR
This funky faux fur and lucite bench is on my major wish list for my bedroom and this one is so affordable that it just might happen! The faux fur adds great texture and is surely a conversation piece. This could be paired with almost any decor outside of maybe the coastal cottage.
9. CLASSIC/UPHOLSTERED
This upholstered bench with the bolster pillows is also one of my favorite styles that will stand the test of time. It’s classic shape will go with ANYTHING, you can’t go wrong here! I personally love the deep teal but you can find this style in almost any color.
The bench that is in my room right now is just a temporary hand-me-down but regardless of what it looks like I love the storage it offers and how it pulls the room together. I’m considering a DIY too but I really just want the faux fur one lol!
So what do you think about bedroom benches? Love them or no opinion? Do you have a hard time choosing the best bedroom bench for your space? I hope this helps break down the mystery a little bit if you were considering one for your room!
My room is pretty much finished now so if it would ever stop raining around here and I could get some decent pictures I’ll share the reveal with you!
Cheers!
