Life Happenings And A Fun Announcement Or Two!

Happy Wednesday you guys! I’m popping in for a quick post with a few announcements and what we’ve been up to! My little man starts school next Monday so we’ve been packing in as much summer as we can!

I have a super fun announcement that I’m so excited to share with you! I’ve been nominated for an AMARA Interior Blog Award for the best USA blog!!! The Amara awards are UK based and I’m so humbled to have been noticed, much less nominated. If you love reading Simple Stylings I would be honored if you would take a second and vote! Also I’m sharing some fun facts that you may or may not know about what makes our house a home over on Zillow’s Instagram account so make sure to check it out!

This weekend we were trying to escape the heat wanted to get away for a day in the mountains. We debated between going tubing in Asheville or South Mountain State Park for some hiking but the weather was a little unpredictable. One of our favorite places to visit in the fall is Skytop Apple Orchard right outside of Hendersonville, NC so I looked to see if they were open yet and it just happened to be opening weekend. There were only two types of apples available but we didn’t care because the apple cider donuts were in full force! If you’ve never been you should definitely check it out this fall. I think we were subconsciously trying to will the fall weather to start a little earlier…unfortunately it didn’t work out in our favor but we still had a blast! :)

We’ll be spending this week getting ready for school, organizing, starting a summer memory book and ending the week with a church camping trip! Hope you guys have a great one!
