Spring Has {Finally} Sprung In Our House!
Happy Monday! I hope all the mommies had a wonderful Mother’s Day and were honored and pampered!
Spring snuck up on us this year didn’t it?!?! I don’t know if it was because the winter was long and cold {for NC} or what but all of a sudden it is here in full force. It’s almost sweltering on some days already but I hope we have lots of cool evenings so we can enjoy our new deck!
Did you catch our One Room Challenge big reveal post? If not you can see where we’ll be spending the next few months here!
Today seemed appropriate to share how we’ve brought a little spring into our home this season with simple blooms and happy colors!
I love these tulips and the reddish, coral color works perfectly throughout our home and in our deck design.
And I don’t know what says spring more than watermelon and other fresh fruit!
All things gardening are a must too! We weren’t quite ready to take on a full blown garden so we decided to create our own little DIY herb garden. I will share the tutorial later this week!
I love a good ‘ole southern fern too!
A cooler full of cold drinks on hot afternoons is definitely a must in my book!
I also love to play around with fun chalkboard art and I think it’s such a playful element to incorporate in your decor.
And sweet little bare feet!
The final touch our home needs are some big, blue hydrangeas! I can’t wait until ours are in full bloom and we can clip them and fill our vases.
One Kings Lane is one of my favorite online stores and I love finding inspiration from their collections. Their Home Decor Shopping Handbook is full of great ideas for any style. You can browse the handbook here.
Of course I love the nautical inspiration collections and I’m always looking for new ways to incorporate coastal decor in our home. My favorite part of the OKL handbook is the Beach-Inspired Decorating tips! All my beach babes {and dudes} can find your coastal design inspiration here!
I think we might have hit on all 8 tips in our deck design!

I hope you all have a wonderful week and enjoy this beautiful season!
What is your favorite way to incorporate a little spring into your homes?
Lovely! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much Lisa!
Great touches for spring! I’m excited to get some flowers planted and spruce up the backyard! Your patio makeover has definitely inspired me! :)
Thanks Bethany!
So very pretty!!!
So pretty. My favorite thing to do in spring is to buy lots of potted plants and then I unfortunately kill them all slowly :(
Same here Julia! I’ve already killed two succulents…I thought those were supposed to live forever :)
your home is such a happy place- love these images!
Thanks so much Cassie! I so love springtime :)
