Top 5 Friday: 5 Passions for 2019
Happy Friday Friends!
It's been a whirlwind of a week after spending 3 days with my son on a 5th grade field trip! It was an incredible experience and I wouldn't trade it for the world but I sure was pooped when we got home Wednesday night!
And speaking of my little dude, for Top 5 Friday I thought it would be fun to share 5 things I'm passionate about for 2019. I never wish a year away, no matter how difficult because I think all of our trials are learning experiences. But...I love the new year for the energy and fresh perspective it brings.
So, here are some of the things I'm excited for and passionate about!
I know this isn't a brand new passion of mine - I've actually been focused on this for over the last 2 years - but I'm thinking of taking it to the next level! I have a new social media account in the works and I plan on continuing to learn and grow in this area.
Another part to this is getting outside. We want to spend more time outside, soaking up that ever-important vitamin D and just moving our bodies. If you're interested in receiving more healthy living information and posts on this topic please leave a comment below.
Hold your horses, I'm not committing to another adoption just yet but we are going to a foster care orientation to see if it could be a good fit. Little man is wishing for a sibling and adoption has always been a part of me.
Who knows where God will be leading us in this area...
I've been serving on two committees at my church this year and have become very passionate about music ministry and the future of our church. Officially serving in this way is new to me, but I've been quite surprised with how much joy and purpose it brings me to be involved.
Interior design will always have my heart and I see myself focusing more on minimal design and organization projects this year! You might even see some non-toxic DIY cleaning and beauty posts thrown in there too.
Speaking of organization, has anyone watched Tidying up with Marie Kondo on Netflix yet??? I'm cozying up to watch the first episode tonight and I'll report back if I'm loving it!
One of my goals for 2019 is to do everything with intention. To make sound decisions, to be conscious of what I'm feeding my family or bringing into the house, to use my time and resources wisely. I find that I'm much happier and at peace if I plan ahead instead of flying by the seat of my pants.
Making sure I'm reading, praying and meditating are all part of my plan. I love to use the Headspace app for a few minutes of relaxation throughout the busy day. I'm also starting some yoga classes (in addition to CrossFit) thanks to a gift from my wonderful co-workers!
