Top 5 Friday: Current Favorite Paint Colors (Our Home + More)
It’s Top 5 Friday y’all and I’m sharing my current favorite paint colors! And really, who doesn’t love to talk paint? It’s probably my favorite design related subject, although I find the older I get the less I actually enjoy the act of painting! Oh well, DIY is the name of the game so I’m sure I’ll go out painting some wall in some house, someday. :)
1. Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams
Let’s start with my all-time favorite color, Sea Salt. If you don’t know this color you absolutely should, especially if you love soothing colors that make you think of…guess what…THE SEA! In my opinion it’s the perfect blue/green with a hint of gray and it’s so light and bright it really can act as a neutral. Sea Salt is in our main downstairs living areas.
2. Repose Gray by Sherwin Williams
Repose Gray is my go-to gray paint that is also light enough to be considered a neutral. It can be a little tricky because in some light it looks very cool but in other light it can have a touch of warmth. I personally like it both ways as I’ve seen it in several different rooms. This is the color we just painted little man’s room!
3. Pure White by Sherwin Willams
This is my favorite true white. It’s perfect for a bright, crisp trim but I’ve also used it on walls. The shiplap in my kitchen is Pure White as well as the walls and shiplap in my master bathroom that we just renovated last year. We also used it in on the walls and trim of Kevin’s teen rec room makeover we recently finished.
4. Inkwell by Sherwin Williams
I haven’t used Inkwell in my house yet but I’m dying to find a place for it! Check out how amazing it looks in the gorgeous bedroom of Brittany of Addison’s Wonderland. It’s almost black, but not quite…
5. Blush Pink: Intimate White by Sherwin Williams, Love & Happiness by Benjamin Moore or Opal by Benjamin Moore
Y’all know I love blush (probably revived by the millennial pink rage) but there are SO many shades to choose from. I haven’t used this in our home yet either these are the 3 that really catch my attention.

BONUS: If you’re looking for another bold accent wall color but aren’t quite ready to go black, try Slate Tile by Sherwin Williams. This is the color we used on our entryway accent wall and back door and I love the rich blue and green undertones.
So what do you think? What are some of your all-time favorite paint colors? If you want to see more of my favorite paint colors you can follow my Dreamy Paint Colors Pinterest Board.
Sherwin Williams is my choice paint brand but I promise this isn’t a sponsored post! I just really love SW which is why that’s where most of my favorite colors are from. What’s your favorite paint brand?
Cheers, it’s the weekend!!!!!!!
I have been looking for a paint color that would be perfect for my home. I finally found the perfect one on your website and I’m very happy with it. The colors are bright, fresh, and vibrant. It’s exactly what I was looking for in my house!
Until recently, I was a brown hued gal. Any color I chose was usually brown or something that would accent well with brown. But I recently painted a room a blue/gray hue (don’t remember the name of the color) and it has really worn on me. I think a shift in my color palette is happening. Thanks for sharing. I think I love the sea salt also.
Hi Audrey! I used to be that way too and I’m so glad you have been inspired! Good for you!
I love your choices, Summer.
Thanks so much Claudia! Great to see you yesterday!
