Top 5 Friday: Favorite Things To Do In The Spring
Oh hey, it’s FRIDAY!!! And it’s Good Friday and the Friday of our spring break at that!!! Woot woot!
In honor of trying to coax the spring weather out of it’s shell a little bit, I thought I would share my top 5 favorite things to do during this glorious seasonal transition!
1. White Water Center (or any other outdoor adventure/amusement park)
We love being outdoors this time of year and are blessed to have the US National Whitewater center in our backyard! Even if you don’t live in Charlotte, NC, any outdoor adventure park or amusement park will do.
2. Take a hike
Jump on over to the closest mountain or hiking trail in your area for some fresh air and exercise. We love South Mountain State Park just outside of Charlotte.
3. Find a good brew
There are SO many craft microbreweries popping up all over our city and I’m sure there are in yours too! Do a quick google search and find one in your area and get to taste-testing! Sycamore is probably our favorite with OMB a close second!
4. Attend an outdoor sporting event
Check your local colleges and universities to see what spring sports are in progress and attend a lacrosse game, baseball game or any other outdoor sport that interests you. We just went to a Davidson men’s soccer game and had a blast!
5. A weekend at the beach OR the mountains
We are lucky to live in NC because we can reach the mountains and the beach in just a short car ride. We’ll be heading to the #OIBHappy house this weekend and I can’t wait! Just a quick weekend away does so much for the replenishing the soul, am I right!?!
