Top 5 Friday: Top 5 Current Favorite Books From All Genres

Happy Friday y’all!

Did everyone have a chance to enter the giveaway for the custom design board from Wednesday’s post? If not you can enter HERE or head over to this Instagram post.

Today for Top 5 Friday I thought I’d share my current favorite books! I love books of all kinds so these are a good mix of several genres. Recently I’ve been listening to as many book, if not more, than I have time to read which is nice especially when I’m in the car. I love having the option to listen!

1. Essentialism

I can’t say enough about this book and I’ve listened to it two or three times. It is great for anyone who is interested in simplifying their lives and intentional living. This is one that I would recommend owning and listening to. I like to have these types of books to make notes and mark pages but the author’s voice is so amazing that I would give it a listen too!

2. Capital Gaines

My mom gave me this one for Christmas so you’ve probably heard me talking about it, but Chip Gaines’ new book is SO good. He is just as funny in the book as he is on TV and it’s a great read! I love hearing more about the Fixer Upper dynasty through Chips words.

3. Little Bee

This book snuck up on me and really stayed with me long after I was finished. There are a lot of facets to this one but the main story line is about a young refugee and a married couple that come together and change each others lives forever. My friend Emily Clark recommended this one and she was spot on!

4. Ladies’ Night

Y’all know I love Mary Kay Andrews’ books and this one is such a fun chick book that is great for reading on the beach. You can read more about why I love this book HERE and also get a yummy crab chowder recipe! You should really grab this one or The Weekenders before you hit the beach for spring break.

5. Bread & Wine

I’ve said this multiple times on the blog but Bread & Wine by Shauna Niequist is one of my favorite books of all time and here’s why: 1. It’s a cookbook that reads like a novel. 2. It is faith based and she tells personal stories and struggles that relate to each recipe. 3. And it makes for the best hostess, neighbor and house-warming gift!

Cheers!
