    Weekend Wishing: Dream Dining Room

Published: Feb 20, 2015 · Modified: Jan 30, 2023 by Simple Stylings · This post may contain affiliate links · 12 Comments

It's been a long and crazy week here with the ice storm in Charlotte! School and work schedules were wacky and I realized just how much I thrive when there's a schedule in place.

Any who, let's talk dining rooms! As you know I'm sneaking in a dining room makeover with my kitchen reno and I've had so much fun searching for inspiration.

The plan was always to build banquette seating to utilize the small space which is completely open to the living room and kitchen. And to be fair it's not even a dining room, more like a nook, but I'm determined to create the best use of the space with the benches.

This image captured me immediately. I love the white on white with the gorgeous bright painting and soothing accent colors. It's even tempting me to get rid of the chalkboard wall....almost.

I think this is currently my favorite style dining table and it's chunkiness is just so good with the ghost chairs and colorful palette. This definitely has me dreaming of spring.

And I'm swooning over the stark white and rich wood paired with the blues in this room. So many choices!

I think our space is going to turn out to be a combination of a lot of the elements in these images and I'm so excited for it to come together. Although I won't be buying many knew items for the space here are a few on my dream wish list.

Can I tell you how in love I am with these abstract painted pillows from West Elm! They are SO cool and they have a pink/yellow/orange version too!

I'm really loving the Serena & Lily fabric as a possibility for the bench cushions and the Target stools may actually be in the cards!

And that One Kings Lane table...

I hope you are have a lovely weekend and some of your weekend wishing comes true! Enjoy!

    Cheers!

I love that 3rd photo. We plan to put a banquette in at the end of our galley kitchen -- I've been collecting inspiration photos over time and now i have a few more :) thanks! Can't wait to see the progress you all make!

Love that first image! You are making me want a banquette, but we have no where to put one!
