A Color Story: Kelly Green

A Color Story: Kelly Green

Happy St. Patrick’s Day friends! I hope you had a great week and have lots of fun Irish weekend plans in store! Also, I wanted to say thank for all of your sweet responses about our prayer board post. Please keep the prayer requests coming so we can fill up the board and pray for you!

Obviously I did a little posting day switcheroo on you in honor of St. Patty’s Day! I figured you wouldn’t mind too much :) And I was a little too sleepy Wednesday night to finish the post anyway…oops! It has been an exhausting week.

I’m excited because today we are celebrating all things Irish green or kelly green! From wardrobe staples, accessories and home decor, this primary green is unexpectedly charming and happy. So let’s explore it…

I don’t know if you’ve ever been on the Design Seeds website but it’s a fun place to fall down the rabbit hole of endless color inspiration. You should definitely check it out!

In the image above, Gwen of The Makerista, used Rainforest Canopy to paint her son’s room green. It’s such a rich, pretty shade of green!

I scoured the web far and wide and rounded up my very favorite Irish green everything! It really is a fun color to use to give a space or an outfit a bold pop! I love the green stand mixer, the bar stools (which I used in a recent design that I hope will be revealed soon) and the gorgeous velvet camisole! Oh and I can’t lie, I’m loving the aviator glasses eye mask. Too cute!

What do you think? Do you love it or hate it? Would you take the risk and use this bold color in a room you’re decorating?

I also think I like the idea of a posting series all about color stories. What do you think? I love color and it’s educating for me to explore and fun to share what I find. Usually colors end up surprising me in a good way!

Let me know in the comments what other colors you love and would like us to explore!

Cheers!
