Simple Stylings 2017 Spring Home Tour

Hi guys, welcome to our home! I’m so happy you’re here today! It’s been awhile since my last home tour (Christmas to be exact) and I always look forward to sharing our spring home. If you’re visiting from Heather’s blog (Setting for Four) thanks so much for stopping by! Isn’t Heather’s home gorgeous? There are some amazing homes on this tour!

I’m always on a budget when it comes to seasonal decorating and often times we just play musical pillows and tableware. But, regardless it’s always fun to strip the house of the heavier decor in exchange for the light and the bright!

Recently we took a weekend to spruce up the front and back of the house, including new rugs, to get ready for lots of use.

I also picked up a few new inexpensive salad plates and napkins from HomeGoods to compliment our white IKEA everyday dishes. I pulled out more brass accessories and all my trinket bowls which I might have an obsession with :) The champagne flutes are from At Home but you can find similar stemless ones (which I prefer) HERE. They might be my favorite glasses of all time and they’re on sale right now!

You may have noticed that my favorite chandelier that was hanging in our kitchen ended up above our dining table and I love it here. We have a new chandy in the kitchen that I will show you soon!

Grits enjoys being a part of all of our photo shoot shenanigans with Paige!

And here go the musical pillows! I opted for these white faux fur pillows with some blue ones of course! You still get the cozy texture with the faux fur while also feeling springy with the white.

Also, the cat ladder that I just finished building for Shrimp and Grits must be included in our spring decor :)

And finally the back deck. I haven’t maintained the paint on our chiminea like I should but I’m loving that it looks rustic and chippy! We also put a new rug out here, fixed the broken hanging lights and cleaned everything up for the season!

So what do you think? You don’t have to go all out at your house with seasonal decor, just a few small spring touches will do! I think the most important thing is getting outside with your family and bringing a little of the outside in. Throw those windows open y’all!
