Get The Look: 3 Styles That Aren’t Your Basic Tee
Happy hump day y’all! How’s your week going?
If you follow me on Instagram you know I recently started doing Crossfit and my 2nd full workout was so intense that I may or may not have slept on a heating pad Monday night! But….I do feel good finally getting back into (and deciding on) a workout routine and a more healthy eating plan. We’re trying to go mostly paleo and it hasn’t been too bad outside of my nightly sweet tooth.
Little man is doing Crossfit kids too and he’s loving it! Oh and if you’re curious I definitely don’t make two different meals for us. My son eats what I eat with the exception of me substituting the bun for a lettuce wrap or the tortilla for a taco salad :) As much as an eight-year-old can be, I’ve been blessed with a pretty adventurous eater!

But back on track with today’s topic – stepping up our t-shirt game. If you’re anything like me, the easiest thing to do in the morning is throw on a t-shirt, pair of jeans and flip flops or TOMS. But I do get pretty frustrated seeing myself in the mirror everyday when I’m stuck in a rut and this becomes my daily routine. So I wanted to share with you a few different styles of casual tops that you can sub in for your basic tee that will make you feel a little more stylish while still staying comfortable. Because comfort is #1, am I right?!?!
1. The Peplum Tee
I love this style of top because is inevitably flowy because of the ruffled bottom half which is always a good thing in my opinion.

2. The Bell Sleeve Tee
The bell sleeve is one of my personal favorite styles! It’s a great fall transition top because of the breezy sleeves. Make sure to check out the back of this flirty, white number!

3. The Peter Pan Collar Tee
This style is fairly new to my personal wardrobe but I recently bought this blue and white striped top and it is so cute on and it’s under $15!!

And last but not least here are three tops that I like to call crossover tees! They have elements of the peplum and bell sleeves and are loose, stylish and comfortable. I have this one from Target and it has become a capsule wardrobe staple!
As you can see I have all three of these styles in my closet and I feel so much more put together when I grab them off the rack instead of one from my pile of boring t-shirts! As temperatures continue to fall I like to pair all of these with skinny jeans and these ankle booties to up my style game even more!
What is your favorite go-to casual top? Would you give one of these styles a try if they were just as comfy as your worn-in college football t-shirt?
Make sure to check back tomorrow as I’ll be revealing which of our rooms will be the subject of the One Room Challenge makeover this time around!
Cheers!
The peplums are so cute!
Thanks Alexis!
