Top 5 Friday: Favorite Girlfriend Jeans In My Shopping Cart
Happy Hurricane Friday y’all!
North & South Carolina are bracing for Hurricane Florence right now so I think that was an appropriate greeting! But in all seriousness, we feel pretty safe here in Charlotte but we’re really worried about the #OIBHappy house! She’s all boarded up and ready for impact but it’s going to be a rough ride so we would appreciate any and all prayers you can spare.
Now…raise your hand if you’re kinda sick of skinny jeans!!! I will say I love the way skinny jeans look and that they work for many body types, but sometimes I just get sick of wearing snug pants. I find myself wanting loose and forgiving jeans more often than not so I’m on a mission to find a great pair of girlfriend – or boyfriend jeans. Let’s just agree not to call them mom jeans mmkay!
I don’t know if it’s my age or that 90% of the time I’m in gym clothes so putting on tighter clothes just feels wrong now, but I’m ready for a change. And since I’ve done a little research I thought it would be a great idea to share my top picks with you for Top 5 Friday!
Don’t let American Eagle scare you off, especially when it comes to jeans! Yes, lots of their clothes are for teenagers but I love their jeans even as an adult. And the Aerie brand is one of my favorites for lounge wear!
These are probably my favorite pair from an appearance perspective. They look comfy and cute!
These look like the most practical as far as fit and distressing.
4. Amazon
While I was on the hunt I did a quick search on Amazon not expecting to find anything, but these jeans got raving reviews so I had to share!
These don’t get the best reviews because they seem to run very small. But I included them because I love the way they look and I like BLANKNYC jeans.
There are so many great options for stylish girlfriend jeans these days but as a rule of thumb I think you really need some distressing. Otherwise they might really look like mom jeans. And yes, even if your 40+ you can stand for a little casual distressing ;)
Have a great weekend friends and stay safe!
Cheers to a little neighborhood hurricane party…because it’s better than worrying!
