A Simple Fall Home Tour 2018

Happy home tour day friends!

It’s officially the beginning of fall, at least in the blogging world, and this is the first of several fall posts coming up. I love fall decorating – maybe the most of any season – and it’s fun to challenge myself each year to create a new look while still keeping it simple.

Once again I’m joining the fabulous Marty (A Stroll Thru Life) on this virtual fall tour of some lovely design blogger’s homes. If you’re continuing on the tour from Setting for Four, welcome. Isn’t Heather’s home awesome?!

Well, what’cha waiting for? Come on in!

I found this pretty wreath last year at HomeGoods and it’s definitely sticking around! I love the hint of sparkles.

Kitchen/Dining Room

Last year I used these silvery gold leaf garlands for in my Christmas decorating but I decided that they work for fall just as well! These also add a little sparkle.

Since we’re not quite ready for Thanksgiving and all the comfort food, I decided to leave the table undressed. The pop of color in the gourds highlights our recently refinished light wood table. If you want to see a pretty tablescape you can check out my favorite one HERE.

The faux fur and home pillows elevate the cozy factor in our dining nook.

I cozied up the bar area with some cinnamon sticks and a pitcher full of corks. I love decorating with corks and anything that has a natural element to add texture and interest.

Hallway

My son loves to have blankets laying around so I decided to hang a few of these pretty, lightweight ones from IKEA on hooks in our hallway. This helps keep our sofa uncluttered and I think it looks cute too!

Living Room

Our hydrangea bushes provide beautiful blooms in the summer but I love the dried blooms to use for fall decorating

Of course the tour wouldn’t be complete without a debut from the infamous Shrimp & Grits! They really rule the roost here :)
