A Functional Front Porch Refresh with Wayfair
Good morning friends and happy Friday! Favorite Things Friday is on hold today so I could share our functional front porch refresh with you!
I told you that you wouldn’t have to wait long for this reveal, didn’t I??? Like I said in the design plan post, I really loved the porch before BUT I had two dining tables out here that were just too big for the space. I wanted the space to feel the same but we really needed to update it with functional seating and accessories.
The Wayfair patio conversation set (oops ours is no longer available but this one is a similar set) was the perfect solution! The scale is just right and I love the look of the wood with the off-white cushions. Every patio conversation set we looked at was so affordable and there are so many stylish ones to choose from!
The coffee table was one I already had but I painted it turquoise to bring a pop of color onto porch!
We already had the two outdoor rugs and I love them so they stayed!
Grits is at the door just dying to come hang out on the porch :)
One of my biggest reservations about losing the tables was the fact that we love eating outside and I wondered if we still would. Well, the answer to that is yes! The coffee table, the two Wayfair garden stools and the clear trays have solved that problem! I should have known nothing was going to keep us from dining al fresco! Nerf guns are an essential part of the decor too!
The ceramic garden stools are so heavy and I’m really glad we went with white although they come in a lot of fun colors!
The navy and white throw pillows help pull the blue out of the rugs and look really nice with the white cushions and stools! You can never have too many throw pillows!
The pineapple pillows we have are from HomeGoods and the two striped lumbar pillows are from IKEA. We borrowed those from our back deck :)
I love, love, love these Wayfair clear serving trays! I’ve used them inside and out and they are so chic!
This is now a perfect spot to have a glass of wine, read a book, catch up on some work or watch little man play with the neighbors.

We are blessed to live in great neighborhood with a few young boys on the street so most weekend nights we are out until dark playing, eating dinner and hanging out on the porch! I’m thrilled we now have a functional space with room to spread out and play.

So what do you think? Were we right in losing the dining tables??
You know outdoor spaces are one of my favorite projects to work on! I can’t wait to share the backyard and patio I designed for a wonderful couple in VA next week for the Lowe’s Spring Makeover! Make sure to check back!
Cheers!
{This is not a sponsored post however Wayfair generously supplied the patio set for my review. All opinions are 100% my own. Thank YOU for supporting the brands that make Simple Stylings possible!}
Love your porch and the addition of the ceiling fans. Can you tell me the color and brand of paint on your front door? It is really cute!
Thanks so much Ruth! The front door color is Spirit In The Sky by Benjamin Moore. Here is the link to the other paint colors in our home if you would like to see any others :) https://simplestylings.com/the-complete-guide-to-our-home-paint-colors/ Hope that helps!
I really would love those white ceramic stools for my front porch too. Love your photos, they are so laid back and pretty.
Thanks so much Julia!!
