My Dream Dining Room Design Board

Happy Thursday friends! So I’ve been thinking about re-decorating a lot lately (duh!) but since I don’t have a house that needs any major decor projects at the moment I’ve been doing a bit of Pinterest dreaming. I thought it would be fun to put together some room designs for future reference or for you to gleam some ideas from in case you are in the process of decorating a particular room.

If I had a formal dining room AND money was no real concern here is the design I dreamt up. A casual coastal inspired dining room that is both modern and comfortable.

I still love ghost chairs and I think they are great for opening up a space. The linen slipcovered parsons chairs on either end of the table balance it out perfectly. This table gives me major heart eyes over here and you will not believe the price on that charcoal-colored sideboard. For some reason, the unique chandelier reminds me of coral or twigs or something from nature :) And the eclectic artwork gives the room a touch of playfulness. Although it seems I can’t have greenery in my house as my crazy cats think plants are toys, I always like to include some type of faux or real plant in my designs. This soothing, muted rug ties the room together.
