You know those projects you’re just so excited to reveal? Well, this one I created for eHow.com has me all giddy inside because it was so much fun and I love the way it turned out!
I’m envious of all the people with unique and vintage bar carts but we just don’t have the floor space for another piece of furniture. So these functional open shelves are our small space alternative to the infamous bar cart. #smallhouseproblems
There were of course a few hiccups hanging the shelves (I realized I’m not always the most patient person) but once they were up I had a blast playing around with all of the accessories.
We are still slowly working on our kitchen renovation and I know we’ll be losing some cabinets so this has helped me move some things over. The bottom shelf is our coffee serving station, the second shelf is for daily use and entertaining, and the top shelf holds our barware.
Head over to eHow.com to see the full reveal and tips on how to style your open shelving! Here is a fun little ‘in process’ video for you.
Stocking the bar is one of the most important parts so here are a few of my favorite items. Make sure to throw in some fun art, books and candles to give your shelves a cozy feel!
These wine glasses are a must and I’m addicted to these little serving bowls. This artwork is a perfect addition and where were the white Keurigs five years ago?? And for those who still want a fab bar cart you can snag this on sale from Nordstrom through Monday! #NSale
