Home of the Month: A Medley of Coastal Homes

Happy Thursday folks! I hope you’re all having a wonderfully short week! We’re headed to Greenville, SC for a lacrosse tournament this weekend and I’m pumped about trying a new restaurant downtown! Make sure you’re following along on Instagram and Facebook for updates!

Today’s Home of the Month post is not just one home, but a medley of some of my favorite, Pinterest-worthy coastal casas! So go grab a napkin because these homes are seriously drool worthy!

***

1. The Boat House – I fell in love with this room the minute I saw it and the rest of the home did not disappoint! The attention to detail is incredible and it has a perfect balance of modern and rustic.

2. This is the Coastal Living 2015 Seagrove Idea Cottage (via House of Turquoise) and it is stunning! There are so many great rooms but this beautiful office grabbed my attention first!

3. This California dream home is not your typical east coast cottage but I love it all the same. It is perfectly light and bright and I love the character!

4. This simple coastal cottage from Molly Frey, one of my favorite interior designers, is exactly what I would try to achieve it I was designing my own beach home. The furnishings are not over the top and the accessories are thoughtfully displayed. I love the sea glass bottles above the fridge in the kitchen.

5. This cool California abode takes my breath away and speaking of favorite designers, I cannot sing Blackband Designs praises enough! They truly are the power couple of modern coastal interiors in my opinion! Everything they do is so unique. If you’re not familiar with them you should definitely check out their portfolio!

6. Coastal Living Hamptons Showhouse. The exterior of this house stopped me in my Pinterest-searching tracks but the interior of the home is so fun and colorful! It’s definitely worth a second look and the pool is pretty spectacular too!

7. This coastal inspired home is a slight twist from what I typically consider ‘coastal’ but it’s so pretty and different that I had to include it! And if you’re a white walls fan this home is definitely for you! It’s understated and cozy, perfect for an oceanside retreat.

8. Coastal Style beach house. Check out the beach home of the blogger behind Coastal Style that truly embraces knows what coastal design is all about! The surfboard in the kitchen is so cool but you also need to check out the dining room, living room and the VIEW!

9. This small California ranch is one of my favorites because it is a small home that packs a big punch but also because it was styled by the lovely Heather Bullard. Heather does amazing work and I’m always floored every time I come across one of her designs!

10. The #OIBHappy House. Of course I have to include my parent’s Ocean Isle Beach house. Designed by my dad, decorated by my mom and photographed myself :) I promise I’m not at all biased to this one!

So there you go friends! I hope you enjoyed this month’s (and by month I mean May!) medley of coastal inspired homes! This style is my true design love and I never get tired of exploring coastal cottages! Which one is your favorite?

Cheers!
