A Spicy Deviled Egg Recipe
A Spicy Deviled Egg Recipe
Happy Thanksgiving week! In our family, almost everyone has a dish they are ‘known’ for making. My sister Kristen’s specialty is her perfect deviled egg recipe. So she gets most of the credit for this recipe, I just put a spicy little twist on it. I hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs, boiled (I make mine in my Instant Pot and it’s SO easy!)
- 1/3-1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp mustard
- chili powder and salt to taste
- one jalapeño, sliced and seeded
Directions:
Boil eggs and let them cool in a bowl of ice water to set. Remove shells, cut eggs in half and put the yokes in a mixing bowl. Crush the yokes and add the mayonnaise and mustard. Add a pinch of chili powder, mix and taste until you have the right amount of spice. Add salt to taste.
Fill a plastic bag with the mixture and pipe evenly into each egg half. Place a slice of jalapeño on each egg. Optional: sprinkle chili powder on top (instead of paprika in a traditional recipe) and voila!
I hope you give these easy spicy deviled eggs a try…maybe even add it to your Thanksgiving menu! Click HERE for more of our yummy recipes!
